Dunbar Conservation Volunteers
The Dunbar Conservation Group help the East Lothian Council Ranger Service keep much of the East of East Lothian - John Muir Country Park, Traprain Law, Barns Ness - in the best condition.
We spend a lot of our time controlling the invasive plants Sea Buckthorn and Gorse, we keep the infrastructure repaired - signs and bridges, and given the large number of visitors we also clear up the litter that inevitably accumulates!
We meet once a month, usually on a Wednesday - see the Dates page. Where we meet depends on the task, but we normally start at 9.30am and finish by around 3pm.
If you think you can help, or you’d like to know more, then get in touch.
