Aberlady Bay Nature Reserve
The Friends of Aberlady Bay Nature Reserve are a group of volunteers who help the East Lothian Council Ranger Service keep the Nature Reserve in the best condition. We have our own website (see below) run by the warden.
We spend a lot of our time controlling the invasive plants Piri-Piri and Sea Buckthorn, we keep the infrastructure repaired - paths and fences, and given the extensive coastline need to remove the flotsam and jetsam on the beaches that inevitably accumulates! In fact everything on the task list (except we have no ponies!)
